The A-Frame Studio by Zook Cabins is a 400-square-foot park model designed around one standout feature: a dramatic wall of A-frame glass that fills the interior with natural light and makes the surrounding view part of the home.
At roughly 13.5 feet wide and 32 feet long, the cabin has an open studio-style layout with a king-size bed, living area, kitchenette, dining space, and a surprisingly luxurious bathroom. Zook designed the model specifically with vacation getaways and luxury short-term rentals in mind—and after spending a night in one ourselves, it’s easy to see why.

Open Living & Sleeping Area 🛋️
Most of the cabin is one large open room, giving the A-Frame Studio more of a boutique hotel suite feel than a traditional tiny house.
At the front, a full-size couch, coffee table, reading chair, and TV create a comfortable living area directly beside the huge glass facade.
A king-size bed sits just behind it with plenty of room to walk around both sides.
Built-in cabinetry along the wall provides a mix of dresser space, hanging storage, linen storage, and room for luggage. There's also a few drawers that provide additional storage space for kitchen items such as silverware, pots, pans, and other small appliances, however, you could also use this storage space for clothes instead.
Compact Kitchenette & Dining Area 🍳
The kitchenette is intentionally simple, with a two-burner induction cooktop, stainless-steel sink, mini fridge, open shelving, and cabinet storage.
A small bar-height dining table provides seating for two. Some additional kitchen storage is incorporated into the cabinetry closer to the bed, making use of space that might otherwise go unused.
A Surprisingly Luxurious Bathroom 🛁
The bathroom takes up a significant portion of the 400-square-foot footprint—and we think that decision pays off.
The model we stayed in included both a full-size soaking tub and a large separate tiled shower beneath the tall ceiling. There’s also a traditional flushing toilet, vanity, open shelving, towel storage, and additional built-in storage around the plumbing.
For a cabin designed around short-term stays, the oversized bathroom gives the entire space a much more luxurious feel.
Stay in an A-Frame Studio at Red Run Resort 🌲
One of the coolest things about this model is that you can actually try it before imagining one on your own property.
We stayed in a waterfront A-Frame Studio at Red Run Resort in New Holland, Pennsylvania, where the wall of glass looks directly toward the water. Our cabin also had a private deck and fire pit, making it an especially peaceful place to spend the evening.
The resort adds plenty to the experience with a seasonal swimming pool, pickleball, playground, fishing pond, activity lodge, campground store, and other outdoor amenities.
Final Thoughts
The A-Frame Studio feels less like a downsized traditional home and more like a purpose-built retreat. With no separate bedroom walls or lofts dividing the interior, the open layout feels spacious, bright, and especially well suited for couples.
We also loved being able to experience the model overnight after previously touring Zook Cabins' display homes. Staying in one shows just how much the huge windows, wide floor plan, integrated lighting, and oversized bathroom contribute to the experience once you actually settle in.
