Tucked away just outside the entrance of Tatra National Park in Zakopane, Poland, this charming 2-story chalet tiny house is one of the coziest mountain stays you’ll ever find. Built from beautiful half-timber logs and filled with handmade furniture, the chalet blends rustic charm with modern comfort—making it an unforgettable retreat in the Polish mountains.
During our stay, we were blown away by the incredible views of the High Tatras, the cozy atmosphere inside, and the thoughtful details that made the cabin feel like a true home away from home. With a spacious open floor plan, two upstairs bedrooms, a balcony, and a private garden, this tiny house has everything you need for a peaceful getaway after a day of hiking or exploring Zakopane.
The main level of the chalet opens into a spacious living room, where rustic wood beams and log walls create an inviting, cozy atmosphere. A comfortable sofa, handmade furniture, and warm finishes make this space perfect for curling up with a book, watching TV, or enjoying a glass of wine after a day in the mountains. Large windows let in natural light and frame the surrounding mountain views, so you’re always connected to the beauty outside.
Just off the living room is the kitchen and dining area, thoughtfully equipped with everything you’ll need for cooking simple meals during your stay. There’s a 4-burner cooktop, a small oven, fridge, kettle, and plenty of cookware and utensils. The dining table offers space for four, making it ideal for sharing a hearty breakfast before heading out on the trails or enjoying a cozy dinner in.
Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms designed for both comfort and charm. The main bedroom opens onto a private balcony with unbelievable views of the High Tatras. Waking up here feels like stepping into a postcard, with the mountains stretching across the horizon.
The second bedroom is smaller but equally cozy, perfect for children or an additional guest. Both rooms feature wood-paneled walls, handmade furniture, and thoughtful details that add to the chalet’s warm, rustic feel.
On the main floor, the chalet includes a full bathroom with modern fixtures and a corner shower. Though compact, the bathroom is functional and well-finished, making it easy to refresh after a long day of hiking.
One of the highlights of this chalet is the outdoor space. The cabin sits on a large private garden shared with the friendly owners, offering a sense of seclusion while still being within walking distance of the town center. Guests can enjoy a barbecue, gather around the outdoor fireplace, or relax with a morning coffee in the fresh mountain air. There’s also a kids’ playground and trampoline, making it a family-friendly choice.
And of course, the real star of the show is the balcony and terrace views of the High Tatra Mountains, which create a breathtaking backdrop for your stay.
