If you’re looking for a calm, thoughtfully designed tiny house to unwind before or after exploring Yosemite National Park, this 375-sqft single-level farmhouse cottage is about as perfect as it gets. We stayed here as a home base before heading into Yosemite (about a 1.5-hour drive away), and it quickly became one of those places that makes you slow down the moment you arrive.
Set on a peaceful farm surrounded by open fields and orchards, this tiny house strikes a rare balance: minimal and simple, yet incredibly comfortable and livable. It’s the kind of place where mornings feel quieter, evenings feel warmer, and every detail feels intentional. Booking information down below!

The living room sets the tone for the entire home. It’s cozy without feeling cramped, with just enough space to relax, read, or sit quietly with a cup of coffee. Large windows frame views of the surrounding fields and orchards, bringing in soft natural light throughout the day.

There’s no TV here—and honestly, it felt refreshing. Without the distraction of screens, the space naturally encourages conversation, journaling, or simply doing nothing at all.

The kitchen is beautifully designed and surprisingly functional for its size. It includes apartment-size appliances, quality cookware, and everything you need to prepare a proper meal. Whether we were making breakfast before an early start or cooking dinner after a long travel day, the kitchen never felt limiting.
A small dining table for three sits nearby, making it easy to enjoy meals together or spread out a map and plan the next day’s adventures. It’s a simple setup, but one that works incredibly well.

The bedroom is one of the standout features of this tiny house. It feels spacious and calm, with room for a proper bed, nightstands, and a full closet—something that’s often missing in small spaces. After long days of travel and hiking, it was exactly the kind of bedroom you want to come back to: quiet, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged.
The linens were cozy, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room stayed perfectly warm even on colder winter nights. My favorite part was the color combination of the sage green accents, the light walls, & the wood ceiling.

The bathroom feels more like something you’d find in a boutique hotel than a tiny house. The bathtub was a highlight—perfect for soaking and unwinding after a day on the road or exploring nearby nature.
Everything felt clean, modern, and well cared for, with plenty of little details that elevated the experience.

What truly makes this tiny house special is its setting. Surrounded by about 10 acres of farmland, orchards, and open skies, it feels far removed from the noise of everyday life. Morning coffee feels slower here. Evenings are quieter. And the sense of privacy and calm is hard to beat.
It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer—even if you originally planned to just stay the night. On our way out, the hosts graciously gifted us an entire box of apples & oranges that they grow on their property (and sent their boys to hand-deliver them to us!).

This 375-sqft farmhouse tiny house is a perfect example of how small living can feel generous, calm, and deeply comfortable. While it doesn’t have a washer and dryer or a TV, those omissions feel intentional—inviting you to unplug and focus on rest, conversation, and the surrounding landscape.
Whether you’re heading to Yosemite, traveling up or down the coast of California, or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, this tiny house offers something rare: simplicity done really, really well.
