The Pinecrest by Zook Cabins manages to fit two private bedrooms, a full bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining space, and an additional sleeping loft into just 400 square feet.
Measuring 13' x 31', this park model has much more of a traditional cabin feel than many modern tiny homes, with pine covering much of the interior and plenty of warm wood tones throughout. The layout is also one of the more family-friendly Zook Cabins models we've toured, with multiple separate sleeping areas and enough kitchen storage to make longer stays—or even full-time living—feel much more practical.

The kitchen is one of the strongest parts of the Pinecrest layout.
Sage green cabinetry contrasts beautifully against the natural pine walls and dark countertops, while the L-shaped design provides a good amount of prep space.
The model we toured includes an apartment-size refrigerator, electric range and oven, microwave, soft-close cabinetry, and floating shelves for dishes and everyday kitchen items.
There's also a separate dining table with seating for four, making this feel much more like a small residential kitchen than a basic vacation-cabin kitchenette.

The kitchen opens directly into a compact but comfortable living room.
There's space for a full-size couch and potentially a small coffee table while still maintaining a clear walkway through the center of the home.
Because the floor plan remains fairly open through this central section, the living, dining, and kitchen areas all feel connected rather than divided into several cramped rooms.

One of the biggest advantages of the Pinecrest is having two separate bedrooms on the ground floor.
The first bedroom is the more compact of the two, but it provides a completely private sleeping space without requiring anyone to use the loft.
For families, this could work especially well as a kids' bedroom, guest room, or even a small home office if the extra sleeping space isn't needed.

A sliding barn door reveals the full bathroom, which includes a small vanity with storage, mirrored medicine cabinet, traditional flushing toilet, and low-maintenance fiberglass shower.
It's a simple setup, but it provides all of the residential essentials without taking up too much of the home's limited square footage.

The larger primary bedroom includes a queen-size bed with enough room for nightstands and some walking space around it.
One of the smartest storage solutions is tucked underneath the staircase, where otherwise-unused space becomes a small closet for clothing and other belongings.
Natural light and the warm pine finishes also help keep the room from feeling too enclosed.

Stairs lead from the main floor to another sleeping area above.
The loft could accommodate a larger mattress or multiple smaller beds depending on how you plan to use the home. Combined with the two bedrooms downstairs, Zook Cabins says the Pinecrest can comfortably accommodate up to six people.
For full-time living, the loft could just as easily become additional storage or a flexible bonus space.

The Pinecrest stands out because it prioritizes sleeping capacity without relying entirely on loft bedrooms.
Having two private bedrooms downstairs makes the layout much more flexible for families, guests, or a couple that wants a dedicated office. The additional loft then becomes a bonus rather than a necessity.
Add in the full kitchen, dining space, pine interior, and practical storage, and this feels like one of Zook Cabins' more versatile 400-square-foot layouts for either a vacation property or full-time small-space living.
Would you use the second bedroom as a guest room, kids' room, or home office?
